DIY: Halloween Mason Jars

Candy Corn Jar

Step 1:

Apply tape to the middle of the jar to separate the different colors for the candy corn effect.

Step 2:

Paint yellow on the bottom.

Step 3:

Paint white on the top.

Step 4:

Remove tape to separate sections.

Step 5:

Paint orange in the middle section that was taped off.

Step 6:

Let dry and then insert a tealight candle.

Dripping Darkness Jar

Step 1:

Paint the top of the jar with black paint.

Step 2:

Take the brush and wipe a healthy amount of paint on the lip of the jar, if it doesn’t run, add water to the paint a little at a time.

Step 3:

Keep wiping healthy amounts of paint around the lip of the jar to create a staggered drip effect.

Step 4:

Let dry and add candy corn for decoration.

Eye Monster Jar

Step 1:

Either use hot glue to adhere the googly eyes to the jar or Mod Podge.

Step 2:

If using Mod Podge, paint little sections at a time and cover with the googly eyes promptly before the Mod Podge dries.

Step 3:

Cover the whole jar with googly eyes.

Step 4:

Top the lid with Mod Podge and adhere bandage for a nice finishing touch.

Step 5:

Let dry and then insert a tealight candle.

Skeleton Pumpkin

Step 1:

Paint entire jar orange. May need another coat after the first coat dries depending on paint.

Step 2:

Find a pattern for your skeleton face.

Step 3:

Paint face on with a smaller brush for better accuracy.

Step 4:

Let dry and then insert a tealight candle.

Step 1:

Use sponge brush to paint on Mod Podge.

Step 2:

Adhere bandage type material onto mason jar.

Step 3:

Apply hot glue to googly eye.

Step 4:

Adhere googly eye on top of bandage.
